An Iron Gate

I am happy to be home after a five day trip to Philadelphia where I attended a work conference.  Being in another city for a few days provides an opportunity to see and experience new things.  It also makes me appreciate my family, home and studio.  On one of my walks around center city I encountered a fabulous iron gate. (Chestnut Street near 19th)  The artist put many details into the gate that became apparent as I spent time looking at it.  I had an experience of discovery, of investigating a story.  I like this quality in art.

At first I just saw the foliage and appreciated seeing a live tree through the gate.
Notice the bird in the top left.  Such a juxtaposition against the modern building.
